Not every question deserves an answer. Some deserve a better question.

Some questions are built on assumptions we never stopped to examine. They send us looking for better answers when what we really need is a better question.

Before asking How do I become more successful? More attractive? More interesting? ask something else first.

Why do I want that? Who made me believe this was worth wanting? Am I chasing something that is genuinely mine, or someone else's idea of a successful life?

Very often, the destination has already been chosen before the journey even begins. The question feels like inquiry, but it isn't. You're simply asking for directions to a place you've already decided you ought to reach.

The real question is not "How do I get there?" It's: "Do I actually want to get there?" Because sometimes the destination isn't wrong. The borrowed desire behind it is.
