Three statements, three styles -
vol(t)age is a jeu de mots of the word “voltage” meaning electric and the French word “volage” meaning evolving and changing. As a brand, vol(t)age’s mission is to amp-up the personal level of vol(t)age of the people wearing its creations. Esch2022 for its part (also) wants to reshuffle the cards. The south of Luxembourg and neighboring France in the border region without borders is in the transformation and each individual takes an important part in that process. The diverse culture in the Esch2022 region is celebrated in the broadest sense and will be "remixed", and everyone is invited to find their part in the process of reshaping the future.
The vol(t)age creations are made to electrify the wearer by embracing change through self-reflection and loads of humour. The concept of “Remix” fits perfectly into vol(t)age’s mission statement: it’s all in the Remix! The three statements adorning the vol(t)age x Esch2022 smart-shirts and a very limited number of v-necks invite its wearers to be open to Remixing Culture by starting with remixing their Selves: REMIX (sm)ART, REMIX your SELF (printed as a mirror inverted slogan made for the eyes and minds of its wearers only), and Ready to REMIX?

About Esch2022
The city of Esch-Alzette, together with the other 10 Luxembourg municipalities of the Pro-Sud union of communes and the 8 French municipalities of the CCPHVA, is the European Capital of Culture 2022. Esch2022 is organised under the motto of Remix Culture. Its programme of events is developed and implemented in close cooperation with municipalities, ministries, and numerous other partners. Esch2022 is managed by the non-profit organisation Capitale européenne de la culture 2022 asbl. Two more cities in Europe have been appointed European Capitals of Culture in 2022, namely, Kaunas in Lithuania and Novi Sad in Serbia.
